While in Germany we stopped in Rothenburg to visit one of the most famous medieval towns. Rothenburg looks like a movie set and has in fact been one for lots of movies! It was the set for Harry Potter and the Dealthy Shadows and the inspiration for Disney’s Pinocchio and the musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The village was first built as Rothenburg Castle in 1070 but is now home to countless little homes and shops.

They had the best bratwurst we have ever had! Also isn’t funny that they put it in a hamburger bun?

The Plönlein is the most famous spot in Rothenburg because of the two 13th century towers!

Germany was so pretty and I am so glad we got to visit. A huge shoutout to Tammy, my mom’s best friend, who lives in Germany! She showed us all around Europe and it was so nice to have someone who already knew where to go, what to do, and how to do it. We literally couldn’t have done it without her. This is the last of our Europe trip, but I can’t wait to go back and visit so much more!
