The view of the grand canal from the Rialto Bridge
St. Mark’s Cathedral
The most beautiful view of Venice is from Fondaco Dei Tedeschi!
Too bad date nights in Venice aren’t a weekly thing! Dinner, gelato, and gondola rides ♥ For dinner Marshal and I went to a local restraunt and it was soooo good. During this season the crabs are molting and have a super soft shell. The restaurants find lots of them and fry them up! The cook insisted we try them so we did and they were actually amazing. I was kind of hesitant about eating a whole crab (claws and everything), but wow. Try them. Also, if you ever visit make sure to hit Gelato di Natura. It has loads of gelato flavors and it’s so rich and creamy! My favorite flavors there were the chocolate chip cheesecake and mint! And at last, the awaited gondola ride. Venice is known for these romantic boats. They can be expensive if you wait to go late at night; but if you catch them right in the evening, it’s the perfect time! Most people are at dinner so it’s quieter and the canals are less crowded. The city is beautiful in the evening. You can listen to romantic music as you eat dinner or walk around and shop. For the most part it’s a quiet city and super relaxing. One more post on Italy then we’re off to Paris ♥ Have a great week !
